The platforms that accompany us through life, providing endless entertainment, know us. For that, we can thank the algorithm—that intangible constant that we’re subconsciously aware of, but which rarely constitutes more than a fleeting thought. When we’re all intrinsically loyal to the algorithm, do we still have autonomy over our personal taste and choices? Or is technologically assisted curation homogenizing culture?
