Looking ahead to 2023 and beyond, we want to centralize our own agency marketing, thought leadership/external communications and awards process with a new VP, Marketing hire. The right candidate for the role will be someone who understands the agency marketing landscape and keeps tabs on the publications and award shows worth knowing about. This role will report directly into the CCO and work closely with the CEO on all owned Day One efforts. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape and shepherd how we show up and communicate as an agency and will work across teams in celebrating our work.


Responsibilities

A central component to success in this role will be a desire to win. You’ll own the production process of award submissions across all client brands and work directly with the VPs and SVPs who manage the business to identify what programs and case studies are the right fit for submission. You’ll control a budget for bringing to life submissions and case study videos and in turn, collaborate with the leadership to showcase work on our site and in new business.


Beyond awards, you’ll collaborate with our editorial team on extending Day One Perspectives (our original creative commons and agency musings) to all Day One marketing and social channels. You’ll have the chance to influence our vision for what the agency stands for in bringing to life our Perspectives Quarterly, Trend Reports, and Panel discussions.

  • Day One Award process and entries management

  • Point person on all owned Day One social media

  • Collaboration with editorial on Perspectives editorial planning and Quarterly Issues

  • Annual Trend Report oversight

  • Close collaboration with leadership on New Business

  • Keep leadership team up to date on upcoming Awards, Conferences and Industry news


Requirements

  • 10-12 years in a marketing related role, in or at an agency

  • Experience in project management and an attitude to get the job done

  • Highly organized + collaborative

  • Thrive in a diverse environment multitask and prioritize workload with quick turnarounds

  • Excellent problem solving skills, able to comfortably contribute to creative and generate ideas

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $160,000-200,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for New York City based hires only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Pay Transparency Law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
